Yes, that’s right ladies and gentlemen! I found out late yesterday afternoon that there will be a new Twitter.com! It’s suppose to be an easier, faster, and richer experience. Mine hasn’t been updated yet and yours may not have been either, but I will tell you some stuff that’s suppose to be different. Twitter has stated that the changes will happen over the next several weeks, even though it stated in their video that it was suppose to roll out last night (September 14, 2010). When you do get the updated Twitter.com, you will be able to toggle back and forth from the new Twitter and the old Twitter until we all get use to it. The new design will consist of a new single streamline view on the left hand side of the screen. Twitter.com has also stated that mentions, retweets, searches, and lists will be above your timeline. On the right hand side of the screen you will basically see what you’re already use to, such as who you are following, who’s following you, your favorites, and trending topics. Twitter has partnered up with the following companies: Dailybooth, DeviantArt, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, PhotoZou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, Twitvid, USTREAM, Vimeo, Yfrog, and YouTube. Because of these vast partnerships we will finally be able to embedded photos and videos directly on Twitter.com. The slick design will also consist of mini profiles! You will be able to click on someone’s Twitter name to reveal a miniature profile page about them without navigating away from the same page. I’m still waiting on mine to change. I’m so excited to see it, it’s not even funny 
! Facebook has changed several times throughout the years, but Twitter has pretty much stayed the same way as when they first rolled out. Let me know when yours has changed and how you like it. Once mine changes, I’ll post a new blog post about how I like it from a user standpoint.
